Darcie narrowly misses out on Oceania Cadet Team

Darcie Morton played well but missed out on making the Oceania Cadet Team for 2nd year in a row in a count back. Darcie, Angela Zhan (NSW) and Zin Nai Jiang (New Zealand) finished equal 2nd in the group of 4 - they all losing to top player Ruofei Rao (New Zealand).

As only one player per country can make the Oceania Team of 4 players, the count back would decide if Darcie or Angela would make the Team. After counting the games, Darcie finished on 4-5 and Angela 4-4 so Angela finished ahead of Darcie by one single game.

Disappointment for Darcie but she will now compete in Oceania Junior Chamionships while in Cook Islands where other MSTT players, Dillon Chambers and Yang Shen will also play for Australia in the Team Event plus Individual Events.
