David puts up good fight against WR41

In the Knockout stage of Australian Open, David Powell was drawn to play no. 2 and WR41 Jian Zhan (Singapore). David put up a good fight by taking the 2nd set 14 - 12 but was no match for the much higher ranked player. He lost 4 - 1.

David is in the middle of a 5 month period where there's much training and competition. He now prepares for the National Senior Championships in Perth from 28th June - 5th July then 3 days later travels to China for a 3 week training camp leading into the Commonwealth Games (Scotland) at the end of July.
