David, Heming, Chamara & Barak win Singles titles @ Croydon Open

David Powell won his first Croydon Open Men's Open Singles title - his home Association. It was another MSTT dominated Men's Singles Event where MSTT players/coaches filled all 4 spots in the Semi-Finals.

David defeated Chamara Fernando 4 - 2 in one SF while Heming Hu defeated Eric Tan (first t'ment in 2 years) 4 - 0 in the other SF. Yet again David and Heming battled it out for a State Tournament win and this time was David's turn, winning 4 - 0 and reversing the result against Heming from Geelong Open few weeks ago.


Chamara won Over 30 Men's Singles and 3 Doubles titles, Men's Open with Heming, Mixed Open with Lan Zhai and Men's O40 with Greg Robbins.


Barak Mizrachi continues his dominance in AWD category by winning AWD Singles again plus won Sub Elite Doubles with Marc Tunbridge (SA).

Next challenge for David is Oceania Cup (April 10-12 @ Bendigo TTA) where he is one of 3 Australian players trying to claim the $6K winnners prize money.    

Next challenge for Heming will be World Individual Championships next month where David will also participate. 

Next challenge for Barak is Oceania/Regional Championship (April 10-12 @ Bendigo TTA) that is a stepping stone to qualify for 2016 Rio Paralympics.
