Heming wins Aust. Olympic trials

Heming Hu had the tournament of his life, finising first at the Australian Olympic trails and is one step closer to earning his spot to play for the country at this year's Rio Olympic Games. Next month is the Oceania Qualifying where all spots are to be determined and which Oceania country will be represented at the Games.

Heming finised equal first with NSW's Chris Yan but won on countback due to defeating Chris when they played.

The Australian Qualifying is a two stage Round Robin event.

First Round Robin consists of 8 players where the top two players automatically qualify for the Oceania Qualifying Event while the person who finished 8th is elimated. The player who finishes 1st will automatically gain a spot in the Australian Team providing the Team qualifies at the Oceania Event.

Second Round Robin consists of 5 players where the results from the 5 players carries over from first Round Robin. The top 3 players from this Round Robin join the top two players from first Round Robin to progress onto Oceania Qualifying where 3 players have chance to qualify for Olympic Games.

At the moment, the first Round Robin has been completed. Below are the results and players who finished top two in Men and Women.
