Yang Shen and fellow Australian Team mate, Benjamin Gould (QLD), made the SF, therefore winning Bronze Medal, in the Cadet Team Event at World Junior Circuit Event played in New Caledonia.
In the SF they lost to Singapore "A" Team 3-1 with Yang defeated U15 World Ranked no. 87 Darren Hean Meng Loy 11-9 in the deciding 5th set. Yang is ranked no. 249 U15 boy in the world.
