Former Chinese National Team Coach, Yu Cheng Gang, will join the MSTT coaching team and be available for Individual and Group sessions on demand in Melbourne at Croydon & Districts Table Tennis Association and Mark's home (Glen Waverley).
Coach Yu will be available November 13 - 24 then December 11 - early February 2014 before heading back to China.
Coach Yu has come through the Chinese Coaching system by being a Coach at Shan Xi province from 1989 - 1993 then Head Coach of same province from 1994 - 1997 before being promoted again and becoming one of the National Coaches from 1997 - 2004. He was appointed coach of Li Nan before she won Bronze medal in Women's Singles at 1999 World Individual Championships and was assistant coach to the great Wang Liqin in 2003 & 2004 plus coaching many other Chinese Team members through 1997 - 2004.
After this stint he then became the Head Coach for Qatar National Team/Squad. He then held two more positions (one for Taiwan University Team then Shantou Academy) from 2006 - 2012.
Yu Cheng Gang is now making a trip to Australia/Melbourne and is willing to help players improve their skills and knowledge.
1. Individual sessions will be only $60 per hour.
2. Group session will vary according to numbers in session.
