After winning the Oceania Cup earlier this year, Miao won the right to compete in the prestigeous World Singles Cup played in Japan from Sept. 21-23. This tournament is restricted to only 20 players and includes the continental champions from around the world and the top 10 ranked players plus 4 others.
Miao (WR 210) was no match for her stronger opponents. She lost 4-0 to Nanthana Komwong (WR 92) from Thailand and 4-0 to Sakayka Hirano (WR 25) from Japan.
