After only one year of setting up a TT program at Sportlink (2 Hanover Rd/Vermont South), Mark Smythe has worked closely with Table Tennis Australia in recent times to help find a suitable venue, day & timeframe for National Squad training for Victorian based players.
The Sportlink venue has the required assets the National Coach (Jens Lang) was searching for and is a central venue for majority of Vic. players who are in National Squads.
TTA have just enough funding to supply their Squad members training once a week across four states (VIC, NSW, QLD and SA).
Squad training for Vic. players will be on Friday nights from 6:30 - 8:30pm officially commencing on 28th Feb.
Anyone interested watching the best Aust. players train, can visit the venue anytime during their training hours.
