David Powell won both Doubles Events he played at Oceania Championships. He won the Mixed Doubles with Miao Miao then partnered Kane Townsend to win the Men's Doubles defeating surprise packets Shing/Luu from Vanuatu 3 - 0.
David & Kane defended their title from 2012 Oceania Championships where they defeated William Henzell & Robert Frank in the final. They have a strong history together and now won 3 Oceania Doubles titles together. The other one was 2006 Cadet Boys Doubles.
