Heming Hu and David Powell had a titantic battle at the Croydon Open final with Heming winning in 7 sets after being down 3-0 and was down in the 4th set. David was in control of the match early but Heming kept his cool and stormed back into the match, and, in the end was too fast and strong for David. Heming's last 7 months overseas playing professional league & training proved a telling point as it appeared Heming had a fitness edge as the match got into the 6th & 7th sets where David weakened and look sluggish.
