David wins Oceania Cup

David Powell won his first Oceania Cup defeating long time rival from Under 13 Age Group, Kane Towsend (QLD) in the Final. After the retirement of William Hensell early this year, all titles in this region of the world are up for grabs. David has been runner-up in this tournament twice in 2013 & 2015 while Kane was runner-up in 2014.

David and Kane have had many battles of the years and this time David prevailed 4-1 to claim the title and the $6K winners cheque plus a birth in the prestigious World Singles Cup (Oct 1-3 in Saarbrucken/Germany), restricted to only 20 players in the World.
